Syntax: survey (<direction>|here|.)

The various melee classes eventually learn how to retreat from fights with poor odds. However, retreating does no good if it involves running away and right into the hands of another monster that's just as eager for blood. Because of this, these fighters learn how to quickly scan the surroundings while still in battle, before determining a safe direction for retreat.

This skill works whether or not the user is in combat; however, it will only have a chance to improve if used during combat. Survey can take an optional direction or 'here'/'.' to reduce output in a manner similar to the 'scan' command.
