Shields have many benefits on Aardwolf. Besides the obvious benefit of higher resistances, physical and magical damage taken is reduced by 15% while a shield is worn. Warriors also have an additional chance to parry attacks with a shield equipped (see 'help shield block'), as well as the ability to use the shield as a weapon (see 'help shield punch').

You may not wield a secondary weapon while wearing a shield. If you dual wield a weapon, you will automatically remove your shield and any held item.
