To purchase a manor you'll need to runto one of the manor areas and look
around for an open piece of land.
Manor areas are found at:
runto manormount
runto manorwoods
runto manorville
runto manorsea
Don't be fooled when you runto the area and see an open room near the
beginning. Look at the room and you'll probably see an object on the
ground like this:

If you 'look sign' you'll notice that this spot is only for players who
have a land deed. Land deeds are quite expensive and you still have to pay
for a manor on top of the land deed price. As a newbie, don't consider
it.
Once you runto the manor area, type 'look vacancies' in the first room. An
imm will have posted the speedwalk to a section of the area that has many
vacant spots. If you are standing on a room and it's not an indoors sector
[ ] room, then it's probably somewhere you can build a porch. Porches can
be built north, east, west, up or down from the room you're standing at.
You CANNOT build SOUTH and you cannot build a porch on top of someone
else's porch.
At this point you can type 'who imm' to look for a visible imm, then send
them a tell to get the room's vnum. If an imm isn't visible you can place
a pet in your target room and hunt it from the beginning of the area for
the speedwalk.

Use the dropdown menu to choose 'Purchase Manor'. Type the manor vnum into
the first open box, then choose your porch direction. Next fill out the
porch/manor names and descriptions if you want to. If you don't want to
choose your descriptions now, then don't fill them in. Your first set of
descriptions is FREE FOREVER. Click on 'generate note' at the bottom of
the screen. Click on the 0 for tier 0, then click on "I'm done" when it
appears at the bottom of the screen. Now you can highlight your entire
note and copy it. Switch back to your Aardwolf screen and type 'forum
upgrades', then type 'note write imm' and finally paste your upgrade and
post!
