Every time you swing a weapon during melee you have the chance of doing
a much higher damage critical hit. Your chance of a critical hit is based
on Hitroll.
Primary class thieves have a higher chance of doing critical hits and can
also get critical hits on a backstab.
If you are displaying full damage message you will see a '*' at the start of
the damage message for a critical hit. If you have combined / average damage
on then it will just be rolled into the totals - you will see a "*" if any
of the attacks that caused that message were a critical hit.
Note that some mobs, usually in high end 'epic areas', are immune to critical
hits and will not use critical hits themselves. This is normal and does not
mean that your critical hits are broken.
