Aardwords is a special ongoing contest. Players can form words using
game pieces they find on mobs. These words may be turned in to the imms
listed below. The immortal staff not listed below are NOT to be bothered
about word scoring/turn ins.
Imms accepting tiles: Kharpern, Ocho, Rezit, Dreamfyre,
Rhuli, Fiendish
Playing pieces will be distributed by randomly dropping from mobs,
awarding them as prizes, and other methods.
Letters and multipliers:

A - 1 B - 3 C - 3 D - 2 E - 1 F - 4 G - 2 H - 4 I - 1 J - 8
K - 5 L - 1 M - 3 N - 1 O - 1 P - 3 Q - 10 R - 1 S - 1 T - 1
U - 1 V - 4 W - 4 X - 8 Y - 4 Z - 10 BLANK - 0
Multipliers - Restrictions
Double Letter Score - Position 1, 3, 5, or 7 in word
Double Letter Score - Position 2, 4, or 6 in word
Double Letter Score - Position any in word
Triple Letter Score - Position 4 in word
Triple Letter Score - Position 1, 2, 6, or 7
Double Word Score - Position 1, 4, or 7 in word
Double Word Score - Position 2, 4, or 6 in word
Triple Word Score - Position 1, or 7 in word
Triple Word Score - Position 4 in word
Scoring
- Words will be scored according to the point value of the pieces.
- Building a word with length of 7 letters or more will get a 50 point
bonus after the word is scored. (This bonus is added after any bonus
multipliers have been applied)
- No more than 2 multipliers may be used per word. Only one multiplier may
be used in any given position.
- All letter multipliers will be applied before any whole-word
modifiers are calculated.
- Players will get 1 qp for each point in a word they submit.
- A word will be considered legit if it can be entered on Hasbro's Word
dictionary and the website confirms it. Unsure? Just go the below URL,

- The BLANK tiles can be used to replace any letter in a word, but have a
value of zero.
- Only ONE blank tile may be submitted per word.
Periodically contests will be held with prizes for the best word in a
category. All players are expected as a matter of course to respect the MP
rules of this MUD at all times, including during this contest.
