Area / Quest Changes, Spellup Command, Other Updates. Lasher, September 13, 2010 Area Changes: The ‘Market Road’ area has been removed and replaced with the ‘Gypsy Caravan’ area. This area is significantly higher level so be careful. The Rokugan area has been removed as it was based on copyright material and replaced with ‘Nenukon and the Far Country’. The Soulblade area has been removed as it was based on copyright material and replaced with ‘The Glamdursil. Game Changes: The ‘spellup’ command can now be used on others. Some spells such as party harmony and holy shield will only cast on others when grouped. A small utility command called ‘ruler’ has been added to show screen width. The max number of items a player can have on the marketplace at one time has been increased from 3 to 5. A whole bunch of GMCP related changes were added. See the Aardwolf MUD GMCP Page for full details. Bug Fixes: The ‘where’ command would not show players if they had the hidden or sneaking affects, regardless of the detects on the person doing the ‘where’. This has been fixed to do the usual visibility checks. You still can’t “where” someone in a clan you’re at war with though. ‘Wish list’ is now paged. Took less time to make the change than read the debate on whether or not it should change. Fixed a bug with Bashdoor checking if there is a “mob in the way” before checking if there is actually even an exit. Fixed a bug in brew where vials could explode before checking if you actually have enough mana to brew that spell. Same issue existed with Scribe. Fixed that too. Doing something like (for me) ‘Slap lash’ with a partial name will no longer act as if you are doing a remote social on yourself. Fixed a few weight bugs related to rounding issues. See note #7848 on bugs. GMCP status wasn’t being sent during combat unless you had battleprompt MUD News
