Auctioneer Wish, Sense Age spell, Exp changes. Lasher, March 12, 2014 New Wish – Auctioneer: There is new wish called ‘auctioneer’ will allow you to auction 3 items at once. It costs 5k so is definitely a luxury, but has no adjustment cost. Max total items that can be on auction at once has been increased to 50. Experience change for rarely killed mobs: We have changed the way the bonus exp for less frequently killed mobs works. Several changes listed below, hopefully hunting these down will become a more worthwhile part of the game: The bonus now increases more quickly. When a ‘rare’ mob is killed the bonus is lowered rather than reset back to zero. Experience rewarded for rarely killed mobs will now be shown separately. This experience is added after normal exp is calculated. This means it is outside of 300 max but is still doubled by double exp and daily blessing bonus. If you kill the right mob enough levels above you, a result like this is perfectly possible: You receive 214+22 experience points. You receive 150 'rare kill' experience bonus. You receive 386 experience points to test double exp. You receive 386 bonus experience points from your daily blessing. New Empath Subclass Spell: There is a new Empath spell called ‘Sense Age‘. When this spell is up, mobs that are aged beyond a certain point (at least 50% exp bonus) will show with a flag of either (O) or (Old) depending on your shortflag setting. Other Game changes this reboot: We are testing a new flag on some items. The ‘static’ flag will make it so that an item cannot be changed, which means loading and saving it will be more efficient. For now I’ve just set it on the ‘trivia incomplete potion’ and will see how it goes. Using the syntax ‘instinct deposit all’ will deposit all available trains. The ‘confirm’ option is still required. If you remort or retier with trains on hand that could have been used for instinct, they will automatically be deposited. Using ‘note fullthread’ and ‘note threadinfo’ with no arguments will now default to the last note you read. Typing ‘quit’ with any invalid argument such as ‘quit chec’ will now give a message with correct syntax rather than just blindly quitting you out. When imms do restores paid for by a clan / person they can now add suppress the ‘X has restored you.’ message and include only the message the buyer wants. That same message will also be sent over GMCP with a ‘Restore:’ tag. Imm global echos will now also be sent over GMCP with a ‘Global Echo:’ Prefix. Echos to a specific player or a specific area will not as those are usually meant to look like regular game output. Bug Fixes: It is no longer possible to enter remort mode while in the middle of a poker game. I think the bug with the extra prefix on the end of rankings notes is fixed now. We’ll see. The Necrotic Touch skill was not correctly checking % practiced when being used. This is now fixed, but improvement will also be faster than before. Using ‘note fullthread’ with prefixes on will now show the prefix next to the note content. Fixed up some of the gold amounts when buying items from shops so that the numbers are command formatted, ie 50,000 instead of 50000. MUD News
