New Area – Kiskadi Cove, other changes. Lasher, May 28, 2013 New Area and Goal – Kiskadi Cove: Nestled in the coastal forests of the north there is a cove, once peaceful and thriving with life, that now festers with an unspeakable evil. All are held in its thrall, from the local tribal people to the animal and plant life of the region. The normally reclusive tribal elders have reached out asking for help in purging their home of this malignant presence. Are you willing to face the horrors that await you in Kiksaadi Cove? Level Range : 190 to 200 Goal Difficulty : Medium Goal Recommended at : Level 200 Goal Converter : Bottomfeeder Area Author : Bottomfeeder Other Game Changes – May 29th 2013: The Bless spell no longer adds saves. For primary class cleric and mage (only), it adds damroll instead. Significantly increased the duration of the ‘temper’ effect on weapons. Default behavior on spellup command is now to only cast spells that you have practiced at least once. To include all spells including those still at 1%, add the ‘all’ option. If you ever use ‘sendgmcp request area’ you will see a new value on there called flags which shows manorarea, clanarea, quiet, morgue and virtual. Virtual means don’t bother trying to map it as the area changes every reset (lasertag). Quiet means that you won’t see people moving around (Aylor). The other 3 are self explanatory and included in case you want to use them to handle maps differently. Weapon skill now affects spiral. No change when weapon is at 100% but damage will be reduced by appropriate percentage when it isn’t. Whenever a tell goes into your history list it will now include seconds in the timer rather than just hours/minutes. Removed the ownership checks from using a resonating orb on resonate and the Arcane Source on Solidify (Sirian). Also fixed the resonated flag rather than solidified being checked when using the Arcane Source. Bug Fixes – May 29th 2013: Fixed the {invitem} tags that get sent for Illuminate and Resonate when only the flag changes and when the enchant is reversed because of enchanter’s focus. In this latter case nothing is sent as the item does not actually change. Fixed the output messages on the ‘dice’ command when using a single die or dice with just a single side. Typing ‘follow’ when following a mob will now correctly show the mob name rather than the keywords. There was a bug with large pagesizes not working correctly because an internal buffer would fill up before your pagesize was reached. 500 was never a very realistic pagesize so the max is now 300. That 300 should work correctly though even on detailed screens such as ‘who’. Fixed the capitalization of the ‘is using’ line when looking at a mob that is using equipment. Corrected the buggy message on trying to friend someone you are ignoring. Fixed some inconsistent messages between ‘buy’ and ‘sell’ when dealing with items that begin ‘a something’ or ‘an aylorian’ etc. MUD News
