Clan Disband

Help Clandisband

Some clans may face problems with leadership, other members, the overall
vision of the clan, etc.  As such, this policy has been created to provide
a set method to liquidate a clan's assets and possibly completely remove
the clan from Aardwolf.

If a clan falls to one leader, they will have one week to choose a leader
via their own methods.  If no leader is chosen, a vote for liquidation will
begin.

If a clan falls to zero leaders, the clan will vote whether to instate a
new leader or liquidate the clan's assets.  A vote will be added in the
clan voting booth with choices for each player (active within the past 28
days) and the option to liquidate.  If the clan has not purchased a voting
booth, one will be added for the duration of the vote.

Once the vote has started, new players may not be recruited to the clan.
The clan's current account total will be logged, as well as a copy of clan
member donations up until that point.  No new members may join the clan
during this time.  Players may choose to be outcast by an Imm, but their
vote will not count and they will not receive any funds from the account
liquidation process if they do not wait for the end of the vote.

After a week, votes will be counted (one person = one point), and a simple
majority wins.  (Note- all leadership changes below are still made at full
cost (15 million) to the clan.)

If there are more votes for liquidation than total votes for leaders:
The clan will be liquidated.  Each person will receive a percentage of the
clan's account at the time of vote start, based upon the amount they have
donated vs the toal amount current clan members have donated.

(For example, if a clan has 10 million in account, and players A, B, and C
donated 10 million and player D donated 20 million, player D would receive
4 million (40%), and A, B, and C would receive 2 million (20% each).)

At that point, any members choosing liquidation may be imm-outcast from the
clan.  The remaining players have one week to choose a leader through any
means.

If there are more total votes for leaders than votes for liquidation:
The member with the highest vote count will be instated as leader and has
one week to appoint a second leader.  If more than one leader holds the
highest number of votes, all will be added.  No funds will be returned to
clan members.

After the vote:
The clan must have at least two leaders 7 days after the first leader has
been appointed.  If the clan cannot choose or afford two leaders by this
time, the clan will be liquidated and disbanded.  Disbanded clans will
have their public and private halls disconnected/unreachable from the MUD,
though existing equipment will remain in the game.  The Immortals may
decide to sell the clan's spot to a new clan; if so, details will be
posted on the Announce board.

A clan may begin recruiting as soon as the first leader has been appointed.
