Quicksand is a nuisance for many newer players. If you walk into a room full
of quicksand, you will find yourself unable to leave via normal means.
To conquer quicksand, you must rise above it- literally. To escape you may
either fly (with a potion 'potsearch fly', racial ability or spell),
step quickly (with the haste spell) or leave via recall or portal (when the
room allows such an action).
Thankfully, those who use the map feature of Aardwolf (see 'help map') will
be able to distinguish these rooms as '% %'. Using the map as a guide
you can navigate around the room.
