These are the guidelines for players wishing to host a Texas Hold'em tournament for rewards other than gold such as quest points or trivia points. All players wishing to participate are expected to have read this helpfile.

Once the game has started you cannot cash out and get your quest points back. The only way to get any part of your quest points back, once the game has started is to place in the top 2 or 3 (depending on the table size). Quest points will not be refunded.

Not all immortals are available for tournament sanctioning. This helpfile will be updated with the names of immortals that have agreed to participate in sanctioning poker tournaments. No other immortals should be approached regarding tournament sanctioning.

  Current Poker Sanctioning Imms:  

Players may arrange tables, but each table must be sanctioned by an immortal. In order to be sanctioned, a table must be a public, no-limit tournament table with a 1000 gold buyin. The game-creation command for this is:

  poker create 1000 tourney

No other special starting conditions will be sanctioned.

- All player-arranged tables MUST start with at least 6 players, all

  paying the full buyin amount.

- All sanctioned games require a minimum imm-charged buyin of 150qp (or

  1 TP).  Higher buyin amounts may be agreed upon by participating
  players.  All buyins will be charged by the sanctioning immortal before
  the start of dealing.

- All recruiting for games will be done on the pokerinfo channel

  Spamming other channels will negate your game's sanction and 
  possibly get you poker banned.  

Rewards

- The QP/TP buyins will be awarded as follows:

  * 6-7 players: 1st place (65%), 2nd place (35%)
  * 8-10 players: 1st place (50%), 2nd place (30%), 3rd place (20%)
  NOTE: If the sanctioning immortal is not available post-game,
  rewards will be delayed until that immortal is available.
  Under no circumstances will another immortal award prizes.

- Aside from the prizes from buyins, no additional rewards will be given

  unless the sanctioning immortal decides to give such rewards.

  IMPORTANT: At the end of each game, one of the (two or three)
  winning players must write a note on Personal.  The recipients of this
  note MUST be all current sanctioning immortals and all winning
  players in the game.  Please include in the note:
    * The agreed buyin amount.
    * All players' names and finishing places.
    * The name of the imm that sanctioned the game.

Sanctioning

When requesting a sanction from an immortal: - The "Table Master" should contact the immortal with a simple tell

  including the game number and the agreed buyin.  No other notification
  will be accepted.  Do not post a note to a sanctioning immortal
  requesting that a tournament be sanctioned.  If the immortal is not
  visible, they are not available for table sanctioning.

- Please note: Immortals may refuse to sanction a game for any reason, and

  are not required to give this reason.  "Hounding" immortals for game
  sanctioning may result in a poker ban.
