The Requirements

  1. Our minimum level restriction depends on your first class. If you are a dedicated magic user (Psi, Mage, Cleric, Ranger, and Paladin), our doors will open at level 201.
    Non-spellcasters like thieves and warriors must show their dedication by learning magic first.
    They may apply once they have earned at least as many levels as a spellcaster as they have as fighters.
  2. You may not be a member or apply to other clans during recruiting process (It also includes The Outcast Clan of Shame).
  3. You must follow {CHAoS} rules already during recruiting process. Breaking rules is NOT the way to stand out.
  4. {CHAoS} is a clan of spellcasters. It means you have to be 50% spellcaster to be in the clan and you have to be >50% spellcaster as a non-tier. Failure to abide to this rule will result in outcasting.
  5. You must know our Rules and Theme (you can find them from the website).
  6. {CHAoS} is a law-abiding clan which expects all its members to know and obey all Aardwolf mud rules.
  7. You must have read helps concerning clans, raiding and PK.
  8. Your cooperation is required during recruiting process. If you are offline more than one week in a row, your application will be dropped. You may to apply again when you have more time for Aardwolf and {CHAoS}.
  9. {CHAoS} acts as a family, so your activity as player is not only required during recruiting process but its strongly recommended in your potential life as a member of our community. Again, if you don't have enough time for us, you may re-apply later.

The Application

If you meet those requirements, you can start writing your application. You have to understand that writing the application is not something you can just do between killing two mobs, it is your visit card to our clan. So, take your time, think what you want to say and only after that start writing.

What we want to know? Firstly there are some things you have to submit: name, race, classes, time you have been playing Aardwolf, previous clans (if any), and the reasons you want to join {CHAoS}.

All together this information should be at least 20 lines, majority of this will be Reasons of course.

We also need the times you are usually on Aardwolf, and your e-mail address, so if you are not online, we can still contact you.

Information you may want to add is everything else you think we should know about you: your character, real life hobbies, how much you are online, do you have friends in {chaos} or other clans etc.

The Interview

If your application is approved by {CHAoS} members, you will be interviewed by 3 {CHAoS} recruiters. First interview should take place within one week from posting your application. However, your first interview cannot be within the first three days after we recieve your application.

If you are not contacted within one week you should send a tell to any {gray%} member to check whether there is a recruiter online. Please note that our interviews take approximately 30 minutes, so both you and recruiter must have enough free time. This one week period applies to whole recruiting process, meaning that if you are not contacted during one week after your last interview, feel free to send us tell. Please note that there is no way to get more than one interview in a day and most commonly applicants get one interview per week.

Each succesful interview will end by interviewer giving you a quest. Your speed, thoroughness and knowledge of Aardwolf are main points in this step. Although our quests vary, there are 3 basic rules that you must follow:

  1. No help from other players (except for CR, in this case inform recruiter).
  2. In case you need to retrieve an item, all items must come from killing mobs or solving puzzles in different areas. No donated or auctioned eq.
  3. Trying to break those or any other rules set by Recruiter will momentaraly fail your quest and probably cancel your recruiting process.

After you have completed all three quests and proven worthy to our Clan you will have last interview with one of our Leaders. Thats all...

Oh, one more thing:

There are 7 ranks in {CHAoS}, the first is Apprentice and regardless you are a level 100 newbie or 3rd tier, all the new members begin at that same rank. If you will be an active player, help our members, help to defend, raid (raiding is not a must do), participate in the clanlife, then you will be promoted. There is NO other way to get promotion. If you can't live with it, you are not welcome.
